needanamebro are truly here to cement themselves as your favourite new girl group and they aren’t messing around. Following the release of their immaculate debut single “Better Love” last month, they are quickly backing it up with another lo-fi British rnb-pop track that is going to live rent-free in your head with its catchy melody.
“Not A Lot Left To Say” continues the early Sugababes and All Saints vibe that “Better Love” had with its nostalgic elements mixed in with a fresh perspective. It’s a very British-centric sound that isn’t over-produced and is instead more focused on allowing their harmonies to be the centre-piece.
“Bet I’m still saved as “Baby” on your phone” they sing during the opening moments of the song as they lay the foundations for a heartbreak anthem. It’s all about the initial moments following a breakup where you are trying to define how things are going to be moving forward. It’s the confusion of how things are meant to be, and what is for the best. “We said it’s done, it’s for best. Don’t wanna be your friend, don’t wanna be your ex. Now I’m confused on what comes next” they sing before later confessing “Maybe somewhere down the line you’ll find a love much better. Maybe right person, wrong time, or is it now or never?”.
If you haven’t heard of needanamebro yet then that’s okay as the three-piece are only 1 month into releasing music, but, that needs to change today. They’re one of the most exciting pop/rnb groups of right now and they’re destined to be stars, so don’t be late to the party.
