It’s been ten years between records for Icona Pop, but the Swedish hitmakers are finally releasing their sophomore record “Club Romantech” on September 1. *Screams in pop*. Featuring recent singles “Feels In My Body”, “Spa”, “Off Of My Mind”, “You’re Free”, “I Want You”, “Faster” and “Shit We Do For Love”, they are already promising a hard hitting electronic-pop record where the bass slaps hard and the hooks are inescapable. To coincide with the album announcement they have dropped another single, and it’s their catchiest earworm yet from this record. 

“Where Do We Go From Here” feels like essential Icona Pop. It’s a song that sounds like it’s come straight out of their 2012-2015 era’s and has moments of their debut album engrained as well as captures the pure euphoria of “Get Lost”, while also feeling cohesive with the 2023 exploration of their sonic. 

Born from frustration within the global pandemic, this song is all about questioning what to do when you find yourself at a roadblock. There is a sense of hope and escapism in the lyricism which is something their music has always perfectly melded together. “We got blood, we got luck, we got money. So where do we go, where do we go from here?” they sing during the freeing hook. 

“Where Do We Go From Here” hears Icona Pop at their peak again, and will have you immediately ready to hit the dance floor and lose yourself in the music.
