girli – Be With Me
London based alt-pop fave girli is preparing for the release of her sophomore studio album “Matriarchy” out May 17. Following the release of recent singles “Nothing Hurts Like A Girl” and title track “Matriarchy”, she has kicked off 2024 with the anthemic “Be With Me” which is a bonafide self-love banger. With lyrics like “Why would I wanna be with anybody else? I’m just gettin’ to know myself. When I look in the mirror all I wanna see is somebody who really fucks with herself” and “I just wanna be with me”, she immediately inserts a confidence that we all need to embrace. The pulsating synth led production takes you back to the early 2000’s with this blissful euphoria that will have you dancing and screaming along to its empowering hook. This is a song that doesn’t hold back from serving you pop perfection, and you better get ready to have it on replay.
Kaylee Bell + Navvy – Life Is Tough (But So Am I)
Kaylee Bell has teamed up with fellow New Zealand singer-songwriter Navvy for an epic country-pop crossover ahead of her new album “Nights Like This” out March 15. “Life Is Tough (But So Am I)” is an anthem of resilience and seamlessly brings together both artists unique sounds for a euphoric blend. Written as a reminder that life will be hard, she also notes that we are just as tough and can get through it if we just take care of each other. “I know that I was made to do something more than just get by. Might not succeed, but damn I’ll try” they both sing during the infectious hook. The production brings guitars and pulsating synths together with smooth harmonies that tie it all together beautifully. If you’re having a day of self-doubt, or need a pop pick-me up then this is the song for you.
Alexander 23 – How Much Longer?
Alexander 23 is opening a new chapter following the release of his debut album “Aftershock” with a quintessential sad boy anthem. Citing comparisons to Coldplay and John Mayer, “How Much Longer?” Is a deeply introspective track that explores unrequited love. Questioning how much longer he is going to feel this way, he captures the pain in a beautiful and honest way. “I try so hard. Did I scare you away?. When I want it bad, I get in my own way” he admits during the opening moments of the song before later questioning “how much longer can I love you. When, baby, you don’t love me back?”. The production is super tender, and hears him in a slightly more poignant lane than his earlier releases. It has a soothing energy that will calm your unrequited feelings and have you feeling not so alone.
FLETCHER – Lead Me On
FLETCHER is onto album number two, and we couldn’t be more excited. “In Search Of The Antidote” will be released on March 22, and features recent single “Eras Of Us”, as well as the new anthem “Lead Me On”. The gut-punching track captures the intense feelings of unrequited love as well as captures the desperate emotion of just feeling something from them. “So why don’t you just lead me on? Cause something is better than nothing at all” she pleads during the energetic hook. But it’s the lyric, “I was made to find you. But your heart is constantly runnin’, just never toward me” that really makes your heart ache as you hear her emotionally deliver it. Sonically the track gradually builds to this euphoric pop-rock release which matches the intense emotions she describes. It’s a big singalong track that grows on you with each listen, and if you can relate to the lyrics then I am sorry, but you will also find peace in screaming this song out.

Eilish Gilligan – Angel Face
Eilish Gilligan has been teasing her debut album for over a year now, but she’s finally ready for you hear it (nearly). “Final Girl” is slated for a February 16 release and hears her building an expansive sonical pop world full of heavy emotions, beautiful harmonies and and soothing melodies. Following recent singles “I’m Not The One” and “Involved You”, the Melbourne based singer, songwriter and producer has shared the magical and heavy “Angel Face”. Written within a process of grief following a situation that happened in her career, the song comes as a warning to men in the industry that women talk and you will be held accountable for your actions. “The wrong time, the wrong place. Your nose grows on your angel face” she sings. It’s a powerful song that already feels like a centrepiece to her forthcoming record.
