Ed Sheeran is back in Australia to launch his global The Loop Tour, and the first of his three night run at Accor Stadium in Sydney was a roaring success. With a three hour setlist that spanned all eight of his studio albums, he took to the massive stage with just him and a looper and captivated the crowd. Accompanied by a big LED screen, pyro, and an expendable bridge that allowed him to move between the main stage and a b-stage throughout the evening, he made sure the production was at the highest possible level off the back of his acclaimed Mathematics Tour. And for a section of the set he welcomed Irish band Beoga as his backing band for a couple of songs including “Galway Girl”.
